We regularly wash our pillow-slips, but often forget about the pillow itself. The outside cover can get stained, and the filling also needs attention from time to time.

We offer a choice of two services to clean and rejuvenate your pillows

• Laundering.

We start by carefully examining the pillow to identify and treat the stains, as well as to highlight areas of weakness. We take careful note of the manufacturers washing recommendations, which often restricts the washing temperature to a maximum of 40?C. With this in mind, we can also offer an additional Ozone Service that will completely eliminate and destroy any lingering bacteria.

After washing, each pillow is dried in a large capacity drier, and then aired before it's packed ready for collection.

• Clean & Re-cover.

Some pillows can't be washed, and these are cleaned and revived in a completely different way.

Firstly the pillow is slit open, and the contents (usually feather and/or down) are sucked into a machine that tumbles and separates them out so that they are floating on air. As ultraviolet light is shone through them and this destroys any living organisms or bacteria. Once the cleansing process is complete, the feathers are sucked through a wide spout into a new tick (the outside cover). The pillow looks like new ! Re-cover is a weekly service.
